What Amsha is

Amsha is a set of Vedic astrology calculators built for the Indian market: divisional charts, kundli matching, Vimshottari dasha, yoga detection and Ashtakavarga, each aimed at the exact question someone searches for.

Every calculator runs in your browser. Your birth date, birth time and birth place are never sent to a server, because the whole point of building it this way is that there is nowhere for them to go.

A conversational assistant sits alongside the calculators for readers who want to ask a question in their own words rather than read a table. It narrates what the engine has already worked out; it does not calculate anything itself.

Why it exists

Most sites offering a Vedic reading either guess at the astronomy or borrow it from somewhere without saying so. Amsha computes every planetary position itself, from published astronomical theory, and states plainly which model it used and where the two disagree with more precise ephemerides.

Interpretation is held to the same standard. A rule only appears here if it can be traced to a classical text by chapter and verse, or is clearly labelled as a later convention rather than passed off as scripture. Where the texts are silent, the page says so instead of inventing an answer that looks sourced.

Who is behind it

Amsha is built and run by an independent founder in India, not a company with a support desk or a call centre. If you write in, a person reads it.
